Medley
Born in Los Angeles and
raised in Orange County’s Santa Ana, Medley always had a passion for
music, but he sort of stumbled upon it as a career after he quit school at
age 16. His father led a big band and played saxophone, his mother played
piano and sang. Naturally, Medley gravitated to glee club and amateur
singing contests during his youth, but it wasn’t until he heard the music
of Ray Charles that the idea of making music for a living coalesced. “When
I heard Ray Charles, it wasn’t so much that I wanted do that,” he
reflects. “It was that I needed to do that.” Medley taught himself
to play piano, which led to writing songs, and he figured
songwriting—rather than performing—would be his key to a career in music.
But when he peddled his songs to other singers and musicians, they
invariably declined to do them. “They would hear me sing, and say, ‘What
about you?’ That was basically why I became a singer.” Medley formed a
local group called The Paramours, and was introduced to Hatfield, who led
The Variations. But one night they put their voices together, and the
result was magic. “We just started singin’ these rhythm & blues duets, and
it was just absolutely instant,” Medley recalls. “Never had to rehearse
it. He knew ‘em, I knew ‘em—‘I’ll sing this note, you sing on top,’ and
that was it. The instant we sang together, it was like one voice.” Their
partnership lasted four decades, though Medley explored his solo options
apart from the duo on occasion. He went on his own in the late-‘60s for
six years. In 1976, following the death of his wife, he pulled back from
the music business to raise his son, eventually doing another solo stint
in the early-‘80s. Plus, he demonstrated his versatility by joining forces
with another duet partner, Jennifer Warnes, on the chart-topping song from
“Dirty Dancing,” “(I’ve Had) The Time Of My Life,” which came up a winner
at the Grammys, the Oscars and the Golden Globes. As Medley segues
into a new portion of his career, he’s also performed duets publicly on
occasion with his daughter, McKenna, who has her own show in Las Vegas.
But he has no plans to find another permanent singing partner. Instead,
Medley expects to strike out one more time on his own, with the stage
serving as a safety net from which he’s still able to make a
connection—with the fans who continue to adore both The Righteous Brothers
and Medley’s powerful bass, but also with his own passion for music.
Not that his rare gift makes him any different from the people who inhabit
the audience. |

Don Hill
Saxophonist & singer with
The
Treniers, who are
unquestionably one of the first (if not the first),
self-contained REAL ROCK AND ROLL groups, ever. They are also
probably the greatest living entertainers in showbiz today. Among
some very gifted peers, they stand out as the only pioneering Jump
Blues stylists to not only thrive when the rest of the world caught
up with this Rock'n'Roll stuff (some ten years after they started
it) but also to continue to thrive in the ensuing decades as a
successful, and far from sedate, lounge act. The group has survived
the ever-changing cycle of disposable pop culture trends thrown
their way not in spite of their resistance to change, but because of
it. By upholding traditions thought long gone by many, and by
keeping it lively, The Trenier's performances are just as vital and
hypnotizing today as they were in the era when they helped to create Rock'n'Roll. I'd like to think that they've been having too much fun
to fully realize this. |

Frankie
Scinta A
musical prodigy, who was given his first instrument — a guitar — at
the age of four by his grandfather, Joe Scinta. He eventually added
mandolin and banjo, as well as drums and bass to his repertoire. His
talent was quickly noticed and he began appearing locally. Before he
was a teenager, he’d been seen playing the banjo nationally on Ted
Mack’s Original Amateur Hour, The Merv Griffin Show and Jerry Lewis’
MDA telethon. When he
saw the film The Godfather he returned home, sat down at the piano
and, without the music in front of him, played the movie’s theme song.
Today, it is Frankie’s keyboard artistry that stops the show at every
performance.
By
the time he was 12, Frankie had also added another person to his act —
younger sister
Chrissi. A few
years later they were joined by their oldest brother
Joey and,
today, they are Las Vegas headliners.
Frankie
Scinta and his wife have a son, Frank Jr., and two daughters —
Danielle and Maria. If you see him offstage, you’re likely to see him
with his sidekick, Buddy Love, a Maltese given to him by Wayne Newton.

Gary Anderson
Whether it is the music of CNN, the Theme from ABC's World News This
Morning or 20/20, Larry King's Opening music or the Theme from Bart's
favorite TV program, "The Itchy & Scratchy Show" - GA's music has been
heard around the globe on virtually every major broadcast and cable
television network for over three decades. From the seriousness of
ABC, CBS and CNN News to the irreverence of animation legend, Ralph Bakshi's Zootoons on the Cartoon Network from the fictional drama of
daytime soaps on ABC, NBC and CBS to the all too real drama of the
PBS/Ted Turner documentary, "Avoiding Armageddon" - from the agony and
ecstasy of ABC's "Wide World of Sports" to the mystery of The Mind on
PBS, GA (aka Gary Anderson) has been THERE. And NOW... GA is HERE !!!
A Summa Cum Laude graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Gary began
his musical career as a full time professor at the world-renowned
school. While on the faculty, Gary is also very proud to have been a
member of the Berklee Faculty Saxophone Quartet, which included
mentors Joe Viola and John LaPorta as well as Dr Harry Drabkin. Gary
put his teaching assignments aside for a while and joined Woody
Herman's "Thundering Herd" -- soon becoming the chief arranger and
music director for the acclaimed orchestra. Tours and recordings with
Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, Carmen McRae and dozens more
culminated in a star studded "40 Anniversary Concert" at Carnegie
Hall. Upon leaving the road life, Gary decided to settle in New
York City and focus on a career in arranging and orchestrating for
Broadway, Television & Film, working with composers such as Marvin Hamlisch, Charles Gross, Vinette Carroll & Charles Strouse to name but
a few. Work in network and cable television soon followed and
continues to this day as Gary maintains studios in NY & Las Vegas.

 John
& Pam Thompson
The Great Tomsoni & Co. tackle the audience
with magic hokum-pokum. Tomsoni, who delivers his spoken accents in fake
Polish, comes clean with mostly pantomime as tricks work to his
surprise. His company is wife Pamela, and both have been presenting one
of the funniest magic acts for years. . Tomsoni does manage to
mystify between his quirky mannerisms, producing numerous white doves
fluttering from scarves and even out of a clear plastic square. Partner
Pamela, meanwhile, supplies him with gadgets as the dumb, put-upon,
blond, gum-chewing assistant. She's a perfect foil.
He switches from pantomime to standup comedian, mouthing crazy sound
effects within funny phone monolog. The "Babushkas from Warsaw" finale
has Thomsoni frantically pulling dozens of knotted scarves from a hollow
silver tube, and going on and on until he bunches the material together
and - presto - out pops a bowling ball... 'Variety' |

Keely Smith
The mid-'90s lounge music revival has come and gone, the music of Louis
Prima has been used to sell khaki pants, but--strangely enough--vocalist
and Prima ex-wife Ms. Smith has remained relatively quiet. Until now. With
the appropriately titled Swing, Swing, Swing, Keely proves she still has
the perfect timing, pitch, and vocals that she had on those classic
collaborations with Prima Smith starts with a lively medley of "When
You're Smiling" and "The Sheik of Araby," does Prima favorites "Jump,
Jive, An' Wail" and "Robin Hood," and includes plenty of unique numbers
she can call her own (just check out "Keely's Boogie"). "Yeah, Yeah,
Yeah," "Yata Hei," and the album's title track are some highlights--upbeat
numbers where the 17-piece Frankie Capp Orchestra provide the jazzy energy
of Keely Smith's old bandleader, Billy May. --Jason Verlinde |

Rich
Little U.S.
Presidents: John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford,
Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, both George Bushes...Rich
Little has an impression of each of them.
Infamous
for his skewing of political figures, Little has charmed, amused, annoyed,
and lampooned politicians from here to his native Canada. He entertained
at the Reagan inaugurals and spent much of 2003 touring the United States
with his show The Presidents. A master mimic of over 200 voices, Little
continues to impress in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Reno, Hawaii, Chicago,
New York, and London. A professed classic movie buff, he's
particularly fond of doing Alan Ladd (his hero as a kid) and others who
are no longer generally remembered, but Little has also latched on to Baby
Boomer-friendly characters like Edith Bunker, Kermit the Frog, Robin
Leach, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer, just to name a few. Some of his
favorite current stars are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Jack
Nicholson, and Clint Eastwood. "They're easy to do," he says. "They are
larger than life." |

Rick
Michel Imagine a major
production with the celebrity talents of Neil Diamond, Bob Hope, Rodney
Dangerfield, Bill Cosby , Howard Stern, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Dr.
Ruth, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin and Joan Rivers, just to name a few, with
an outstanding finale sung by none other than the chairman of the board
himself, Frank Sinatra. Now imagine that this major production if
performed by just one person. All done in about 15 minutes.
Impressive? to say the least. Looking at him, it's hard to
believe that Rick Michel, with his youthful appearance and well-toned and
tanned physique, has been slugging it out in the comedy circuit since the
late '70s'. Watching him perform, though, one can see that his toils
in the industry have paid off considerably. Rick's performance is
well-choreographed, incorporating props, puppets, music, and a good deal
of costume changes that happen in front of the audience... Must be
seen to believe. |

Robin
Leach You know
someone is a real personality when he portrays himself in most of his TV
and film appearances. And why wouldn't he? With the recognizable English
accent and star appeal, Robin Leach has produced one of the most
successful TV shows of the past two decades. Mr. Leach served as
host, writer and executive producer of one of the most popular shows of
the 1980s, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. Other successful TV
programs on Leach's resume include Runaway with the Rich and Famous
and Fame, Fortune and Romance. The son of an office manager,
Leach's first experience in journalism started at age 15, and ever since,
the Harrow, England native has been interested in telling the stories of,
you guess it, the rich and famous. From news reporter for The Harrow
Observer, he moved on to the Daily Mail and even had the
distinction of being Britain's youngest Page One reporter ever. But
it was not until he turned 21 that he crossed the Atlantic and settled
down in New York. Having co-founded the rock magazine GO, he
freelanced for a number of publications before eventually becoming the
show business editor for The Star; Rupert Murdoch's inaugural
magazine in the United States. By 1980, he joined Cable News Network's
People Tonight and worked as a reporter for Entertainment Tonight.
Three years later, Leach and TeleRep President and Founder Al Masini
dreamt up Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. It was then that Leach
propelled himself into the same class as those who were featured on the
show. |

Sam
Cherico If you visited Las Vegas in the
past 15 years, you would have seen Sam. He has always maintained his
love and connection with Bobby Darin. Though Bobby's life was cut
short, Sam always tried to keep his music and spirit alive for all
to enjoy. Sam was born in upstate New York, into an Italian/American
family. He had a normal childhood, until at the age of 7, was
diagnosed with a serious heart condition. Th doctors had discovered
two holes in his heart. They warned his parents that their young son
probably would most likely not reach his 21st birthday. Sam's
parents had to limit his activities, so instead of spending time outdoors
with his friends , he spent the several years listening to a small radio
and singing along with his favorite vocalist. Ironically, the first
song he ever sang was Bobby Darin's, Splish Splash! This tune would
have a dramatic, life changing effect on him and hw would sing it over and
over again for all to hear. |

Trini
Lopez
learned to play the guitar from his father. Then he played for money on
the street corners. He eventually went on to form his own group. It was
then that the world saw the beginnings of the singing, acting, and very
talented Trini Lopez. The first big break came at the popular night spot
called P. J.'s. Here, he was spotted by the world famous record producer,
the late Don Costa, who then brought Trini to the attention of his
longtime idol, Mr. Frank Sinatra. The great singer recognized a fellow
stylist and immediately signed Trini to an exclusive eight-year contract
with his own label - Reprise Records.
He was inducted into
the Las Vegas Casino Legends Hall of Fame at the Tropicana Resort & Casino
in Las Vegas, Nevada. Trini performed his version of "America" as a
tribute to 9-11 and then continued with "If I Had A Hammer." He closed
the show with "La Bamba." He received 3 standing ovations and everyone
there was very impressed with his voice, his charisma, and his wonderful
ability to include the audience in every song.
Whatever Trini
plans for his future, the fruit of his endeavor will be the same ...
fresh, tasty, and timelessly appealing to millions! It has been said that
this dynamo "broke the Latin sound-barrier"... and that he did, but you
never know what's next for "Mr. La Bamba". Perhaps, some of this magical
life will be revealed in an expected "life story"... or maybe the mystery
will just go on forever! But Trini ... he is forever!!!

Wes
Winters One of the
most popular and versatile entertainers in Las Vegas is the award-winning
Wes Winters. With extensive vocal, stage and piano abilities, his list of
credits include television, radio, live theater, composing and producing
to name a few. Winters was inspired to play piano upon seeing the famous
pianist Liberace on television at the age of 5. It was at this young age
when Wes actively began listening to recordings of Liberace and became a
self-taught pianist playing “by ear”. With an innate talent possessed by
very few, Winters has achieved a virtuoso standing, both vocal and
instrumental, around the world among his show business contemporaries. Wes
has appeared in many of the most noted Las Vegas venues. He conceived,
wrote, produced and starred in “A Musical Tribute to Liberace” at the
world-renowned Liberace Museum, followed by a Las Vegas Strip engagement
at Planet Hollywood in 2008. “I enjoyed a great run at the Liberace
Museum,” said Winters of his successful four year eight month engagement
at the museum. His success led to the museum naming its venue during the
run “The Wes Winters Showroom”. Winters is not an impersonator or
look-a-like, but a “sound-a-like the moment his fingers hit the keys”
according to several reviewers. His tribute show captured the spirit,
enthusiasm and the legendary showmanship that made Liberace an icon to
millions of people throughout the world. |
