 The "Entertainment
Ambassador
of Las Vegas". Tony Sacca presents his one-man variety show as he takes
you through a musical journey highlighting classics from the swing era
to contemporary standards. In 1985 Tony Sacca, along with his twin
brother Robert, conceived and created a local television show called
“Live From Las Vegas,” a show that would keep re-inventing itself for
the next 20 years. Since then, Tony has interviewed over 300 major
celebrities and has covered many show openings including Hotel
Implosions to Mega Resort openings. The show has been a major influence
for reporting what’s happening in Las Vegas. In commemoration of
the 20 years, Tony composed the new Las Vegas song called “Las Vegas
Rocks”. He just recently got a Star on the Las Vegas Walk of
Stars. |

Tony coordinates special events for the organization. He is the
original member of the Society of Seven that opened at the Hawaiian Outrigger in
1969. They came out of Hong Kong
as the Fabulous Echoes several years previously and passed through Hawaii
on the way to Las Vegas, the Ed Sullivan Show, and guest spots on the
other national television musical variety shows of the era. The Fabulous
Echoes were popular in Hawaii as well when they became the Society Of
Seven shortly before opening at the Outrigger. Ruivivar says one secret to
the group's longevity is "hard work and enjoying what you're doing." He
adds it's also important to selectively incorporate new ideas without
losing the original essence of the act. Advances in synthesizers,
sequencers, sound gear and lighting allow the SOS to do things that
weren't possible in 1969. |
